The Uttar Pradesh Assembly's special session witnessed heated debates on Thursday, with Opposition leader Mata Prasad Pandey sharply criticizing Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Pandey accused Adityanath of neglecting data presented by the Samajwadi Party during discussions on the Women's Reservation Bill.
Pandey labeled BJP leaders as 'liars,' alleging they distort their views, while Pooja Pal, an expelled Samajwadi Party MLA, expressed approval for the session, noting it offered solace to women after the bill's failure.
Pal commended CM Adityanath's effort to safeguard women's rights and criticized SP leaders opposing the bill. Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana emphasized the session's focus on empowering women and encouraging peaceful discourse.
