Delhi's government has announced a pioneering initiative to address grievances related to ration cards. Under the leadership of Minister for Food & Supplies, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, 'Jan Sunwai Camp' will commence on May 2 across all district offices.
The camps, running every Saturday morning, are designed to provide citizens with a direct platform to resolve issues such as card issuance, corrections, eligibility, and distribution concerns. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized the importance of prioritizing cases where ration cards have been incorrectly suspended.
This initiative aims to bolster the Public Distribution System (PDS) by ensuring citizens receive their rightful entitlements. Officials will process grievances swiftly, aided by teams trained for immediate verification. Digital tracking of grievances will enhance accountability, strengthening public trust in the system.
