In a high-stakes police operation, a key suspect in a murder case was captured in Ghaziabad following a dramatic encounter near the Behta underpass. The accused, Anand, was pursued after being identified through CCTV footage and informant tips, culminating in a brief shootout where he sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Ghaziabad, Siddharth Gautam, confirmed that the incident stemmed from a murder case registered on April 29. Despite the suspect's effort to flee, police successfully apprehended him, uncovering a .315-bore country-made pistol and ammunition. Legal proceedings are underway.
Meanwhile, in Moradabad, police apprehended two key suspects in a different murder case after a violent altercation. Superintendent of Police Kumar Ranvijay Singh reported that the suspects, Farzan and Sohail, were injured during the arrest and are under medical care. The arrests mark significant advances in these high-profile investigations.
