The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) on Saturday became a pivotal platform for discussing the ambitious Gujarat Green Hydrogen Policy 2025. Held at Auro University, Surat, the event aimed to propel the state towards a 3 MMTPA green hydrogen production target by 2035, as part of a larger vision for a pollution-free future.
A panel of experts and industrial leaders, including Deepak Yadav, Siddharth Gupta, Gaurav Agnihotri, Ajay Das, and Divyesh Desai, deliberated on how to achieve approximately 30 GW electrolyzer capacity and 75 GW renewable energy capacity. This aligns with the policy’s goal to create green jobs and utilize green hydrogen as an alternative to natural gas, ultimately aiming to eliminate 5 MMTPA carbon emissions in Gujarat.
Additionally, the conference included a seminar on 'Enabling Gujarat's Circular Transition' in the presence of Forest and Environment Minister Arjun Modhwadia. The minister emphasized the transformation of waste into 'resource material,' underscoring the movement towards a circular economy that promises both economic prosperity and environmental protection.
