South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL), a Coal India arm, announced an 8.2% surge in coal supply to the power sector this April, reflecting an increase to 12.49 million tonnes from 11.54 million tonnes the previous year.

This boost underscores SECL's prioritization of coal supply for power generation, in line with coal ministry directives, amidst increasing energy demand.

SECL's dedication is further evident in its production rise to 15.31 million tonnes, a 9.25% growth, indicating superior land availability and operation monitoring in the Korba region.
