Odisha's Deputy Chief Minister, KV Singh Deo, inaugurated a cutting-edge power system simulation laboratory on Monday, marking a significant step in boosting the technical prowess of the Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) in power system planning and grid management.
Equipped with advanced simulation tools, the lab allows engineers to model complex grid scenarios, enabling real-time analysis of load flow, system stability, and fault conditions. This development is crucial for ensuring a resilient and efficient transmission network, essential for supporting the state's growing energy demands and integrating renewable energy sources.
Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma, CMD of OPTCL, emphasized that the laboratory will serve as a centre of excellence for capacity building and innovation, providing critical training to engineers and supporting data-driven decision making essential for optimizing grid operations.
