A tragic incident unfolded in Sultanpur district when a 23-year-old man drowned in the Gomti river, yet a young hero emerged amid the chaos. Kuldeep, a resident of Arjunpur Belhari village, had gone to fish with three teenagers when they ended up struggling in deep waters, police reported.
Despite Kuldeep's drowning, 13-year-old Rajkumar, who was nearby, sprang into action and successfully saved the three teenagers in distress. Officials praised Rajkumar's quick thinking and sustained efforts that averted greater tragedy.
Local authorities, including Sub-Divisional Magistrate Prabhat Singh, arrived to manage the situation. In a gesture highlighting community spirit, Jaisinghpur Block Pramukh Rahul Shukla offered condolences to the bereaved family and pledged to support Rajkumar's education, honoring his bravery.
