North Korea is distancing itself from global nuclear non-proliferation agreements, a move publicly declared by state media outlet KCNA on Thursday.

During the 11th NPT review conference at the United Nations headquarters, Kim Song, North Korea's permanent UN representative, criticized the U.S. and other countries for allegedly degrading the conference's atmosphere by spotlighting North Korea's nuclear arsenal.

Kim firmly stated that North Korea will not alter its stance as a nuclear weapons state based on external pressures or criticisms, reinforcing the regime's commitment to its existing nuclear doctrine.
