Orient Electric Q4 profit rises 29 pc to Rs 40.28 cr; FY26 revenue increase over 7 pc
Orient Electric Ltd on Friday reported an increase of 28.85 per cent in its profit to Rs 40.28 crore in the March quarter of FY26. Its revenue from electrical consumer durables was up 7.63 per cent at Rs 661.14 crore in Q4FY26 as against Rs 614.24 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.
Orient Electric Ltd on Friday reported an increase of 28.85 per cent in its profit to Rs 40.28 crore in the March quarter of FY26. It had posted a net profit of Rs 31.26 crore in the January-March quarter a year ago, the CKA Birla group firm said in a regulatory filing. Its revenue from operations was up 10 per cent to Rs 948.25 crore in the March quarter of FY26. It was at Rs 861.85 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal. Its revenue from electrical consumer durables was up 7.63 per cent at Rs 661.14 crore in Q4/FY26 as against Rs 614.24 crore in the corresponding period a year ago. OEL's revenue from lighting & switchgear was at Rs 287.11 crore, up 16 per cent. Total expenses of OEL were at Rs 895.82 crore, up 8.8 per cent. For the entire FY26, OEL's profit surged 15.17 per cent to Rs 95.84 crore. The total consolidated income rose 7.43 per cent to Rs 3,336.40 crore. OEL further informed that its board, in a meeting held on Friday, recommended a final dividend of 75 per cent, which is Rs 0.75/- per equity share of face value of Rs 1 each, for the financial year ended March 2026. Shares of Orient Electric Ltd on Friday settled at Rs 187.90 on BSE, down 2.67 per cent from the previous close.
