Speaking at a gathering in Gadh village, Patel criticized young men in the community for lacking capability due to factors like alcohol consumption and joblessness. Her comments have since gone viral.

Patel also speculated on the challenges historic figures like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel would face today in uniting people amidst the overwhelming influence of social media and television.
