All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi has unleashed a scathing critique against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, condemning his 'seven appeals' as a cover for economic mismanagement. Speaking in Hyderabad, Owaisi argued that the BJP-led government is masking fiscal failures with nationalist rhetoric, a strategy that aims to deflect attention from soaring fuel prices.
Owaisi's comments follow closely on the heels of state assembly elections, suggesting a deliberate delay by the government to avoid electoral backlash. "The Prime Minister is now framing this as a matter of patriotism, suggesting that a true patriot endures these burdens," Owaisi stated, highlighting the impending hikes in petrol, diesel, and aviation fuel as an overdue invoice forced upon the Indian public.
Owaisi raised concerns about the silence of the ruling party during the elections regarding these economic pressures. He also pointed to a 5.5 trillion rupee wipeout in the Indian stock market as a fallout from Modi's speech. With Western tensions nearing a resolution, Owaisi questioned the urgency behind these economic measures and warned of the disproportionate impact on India's vulnerable populations.
