In a strategic political maneuver, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government is navigating a pivotal floor test in the Tamil Nadu Assembly. BJP MLA M Bhojarajan, representing the AIADMK-led NDA, declared the party's neutral stance, after securing a narrow victory in Udhagamandalam.
Meanwhile, the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), with four MLAs in the Assembly, decided to abstain from voting altogether. Amidst this, the Congress, CPI(M), VCK, and Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) have rallied behind TVK, casting a decisive vote of confidence on Wednesday.
Further support came from Kamaraj, an expelled Amma Makkal Munnettra Kazagam (AMMK) MLA, reinforcing his perpetual allegiance to TVK. The coalition, led by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and TVK leader C Joseph Vijay, is positioned to surpass the majority with 121 seats, heralding potential stability for the TVK government.
