In a commendable initiative, the Gwalior Police, under the 'Tera Tujhko Arpan' scheme, successfully recovered and returned 571 mobile phones valued at Rs 1.41 crore to their rightful owners. This citizen-centric approach has seen the return of 1,122 mobile phones over the past two years, addressing issues of lost and stolen devices.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Dharmveer Singh Yadav, emphasizes the importance of this anti-crime service for Gwalior residents. The scheme, lauded by senior officials, involves contacting citizens who lost their mobiles in various situations to facilitate the return of their devices.

The police operations are meticulously monitored by the cyber and crime branch teams, which track missing phones through the Central Government's CEIR portal. Recovered phones originate not only from Gwalior district but also from other states, showcasing a broad reach of the effort. The community, including auto-rickshaw and tempo drivers, plays a crucial role by handing over found phones, an act for which six individuals were honored.
