The European Union remains alert to the potential impact of tensions between the U.S. and Iran on jet-fuel supply, although immediate issues are not anticipated, EU Energy Commissioner Dan Jorgensen stated.

Speaking to reporters, Jorgensen affirmed that serious supply problems are unlikely in the near term. However, he expressed concerns that prolonged Middle East instability could influence long-term supply security.

"This all depends, of course, on the situation in the Middle East," said Jorgensen, indicating the EU's ongoing vigilance in monitoring geopolitical developments.
