Air Vice Marshal Sarabjit Singh Leads Software Development Institute
Air Vice Marshal Sarabjit Singh has taken charge as Commandant of the Software Development Institute of the Air Force in Bengaluru. He succeeds Air Vice Marshal Raman Guruhari. Singh, an accomplished engineer, brings extensive expertise from a career initiated in the Indian Air Force in 1992.

Air Vice Marshal Sarabjit Singh has been appointed as the Commandant of the Software Development Institute, Air Force, in Bengaluru. He succeeds Air Vice Marshal Raman Guruhari, who has retired after serving the Indian Air Force for over three decades.
According to the Defence Wing of the Press Information Bureau, Singh took over the prestigious institution's helm following Guruhari's retirement on April 30, 2026. His career in the Indian Air Force began in October 1992 in the Aeronautical Engineering branch.
Singh holds a postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Defence Studies, and Management, and is an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, and College of Air Warfare, Secunderabad, highlighting his extensive qualifications and expertise.
