Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar lauded the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) for its pivotal role in managing water and power resources effectively for partner states.
Addressing a gathering to commemorate BBMB's 50th anniversary, Khattar highlighted its contributions to the fields of agriculture and socio-economic growth, noting its significance in balanced regional development.
The event, held in Panchkula, was also attended by water resources ministers from Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan, and underscored BBMB’s commitment to meeting increasing power demands through solar plants and storage enhancements. A commemorative coffee table book was also released, encapsulating BBMB's journey and future roadmap.
