In a swift breakthrough, the Central District Delhi Police have successfully arrested one suspected assailant and taken a minor into custody in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man in Anand Parbat. The incident occurred on the night of May 15, 2026, near Ramjas Park in the Baljeet Nagar neighborhood.
The attack unfolded as three young men were ambushed by a group of 10-15 youths. One victim was dragged into the park's woodland area and sustained severe injuries that led to his death at the scene. Identification was made possible through the victim's SIM card found at the site, leading to the registration of a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Following intelligence leads, police apprehended 22-year-old Virat aka Gattu and a 15-year-old minor, who admitted to their roles in the incident. The police also recovered the murder weapon, adding to the case's rapidly developing resolution. Efforts continue to locate additional suspects as authorities seek to close the case comprehensively.
