Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah lauded the transformative growth of India's dairy sector, noting its profound impact on women's livelihoods. Speaking at the inauguration of Madhur Dairy's modern plant in Dashela, Shah highlighted the sector's staggering financial progress and its pivotal role in women's empowerment.
With 'White Revolution 2.0,' Shah explained, the government aims to triple India's milk production over the next decade. This initiative not only boosts the income of dairy farmers but also leverages global technologies under the Amul brand to directly benefit women financially.
The minister also announced the launch of an AI-powered digital assistant, 'Sarlaben,' by Amul, enhancing the sector's efficiency. The dairy industry is set to grow significantly, targeting a 20% boost by adopting circular economy principles.
