The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) led a significant counter-terrorism mock exercise at New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Monday. The event was orchestrated under the watchful eye of the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and Chief Airport Security Officer (CASO) of the Aviation Security Group (ASG) Delhi, with the objective of testing emergency response capabilities and assessing defence preparedness frameworks.

According to an official statement on X, top officers from CISF and vital aviation stakeholders took part and coordinated the operations to ensure maximum readiness. The joint exercise, supervised by DIG/CASO ASG Delhi, involved senior CISF officers and various stakeholders. The collaboration underscores the strategic importance placed on robust security measures at the nation’s airports.

The drill saw participation from personnel of CISF, Delhi Police, NSG, BDDS, DFS, DIAL, BCAS, AAI, and other agencies. The focus was on validating real-time crisis responses, bolstering inter-agency coordination, and improving preparedness against new security threats facing airport environments. The exercise successfully demonstrated swift responses and seamless coordination, reinforcing CISF's dedication to aviation security and national readiness.
