Delhi University Offers Eid-Friendly Exam Rescheduling for Law Students

Delhi University has assured the High Court that law students observing Eid-ul-Zuha on May 28 will have a chance to take rescheduled exams after July 4. This decision came after a plea highlighted a clash between exams and the public holiday declared by the government.

Delhi University has committed to allowing law students celebrating Eid-ul-Zuha on May 28 to sit for rescheduled examinations after July 4. This assurance was provided during a session with the Delhi High Court, concerning a student's petition against holding exams on the public holiday.

The University was instructed by the court to inform students wishing to take the rescheduled exams to notify the Dean of the Faculty of Law via email. Additionally, students will be informed of the new exam date at least one week in advance.

This petition, filed by Saif Rashid Saeed, a VI Semester Integrated Law Course student, sought the rescheduling of the exam initially set for May 28, due to the Government of India's shift of the Bakrid holiday and the subsequent changes by other institutions concerning the same date.
