Muslim residents in Dhar have taken legal action by approaching the Supreme Court to contest a recent high court ruling regarding the Bhojshala structure, which declared it a temple. The petitioners, represented by Advocate Ashhar Warsi, argue the judgment was one-sided and legally flawed.
Speaking to ANI, Warsi emphasized the petition submitted to the Supreme Court, stating the judgment was passed without thoroughly examining the facts, making it fundamentally impermissible as a writ petition. He urged that the ongoing civil suit in Dhar should serve as the rightful forum for resolution.
Warsi further noted that notices have been served to relevant authorities, including the Archaeological Survey of India, the Central Government, and the State Government. The Muslim community hopes for a stay order from the Supreme Court soon after filing their petition, as tensions rise over the site's religious designation.
