A dispute between two groups in Indore's Usha Nagar over stray dogs escalated into violence, drawing nearly 200 people and prompting police to file an FIR, officials revealed. Advocate Shanu Dighe was among those targeted in the clash, which stemmed from a conflict involving Virendra Shendge, the Assembly constituency in-charge.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Shivendu Joshi from the Annapurna Division noted that the altercation, which began with a verbal argument, swiftly became physical. Upon police arrival, a crowd of 100 to 200 people was present. Following a medical assessment, an FIR was filed under the 'attempt to murder' section, Joshi added.

ACP Dighe reported that the FIR was lodged by Jayani Agar, who cited six to seven accused. The opposing group has also filed a complaint. ACP Joshi stated that a stone-pelting incident was reported, with legal proceedings underway. Advocate Dighe alleged that 50-70 individuals vandalized vehicles at his residence over the dog-feeding dispute.

Dighe named individuals including Chetan Patil and Paramveer Rathore as intruders, accusing them of targeting him due to disagreements with Nitesh over feeding stray dogs, which led to an assault on Shendge. The matter remains under investigation as the police seek justice in the community's unrest.
