The victims have been identified as 23-year-old Arunpandian from Veeravanchi Nagar and 26-year-old Subburaj from Chidambarapuram village. According to police reports, Arunpandian was traveling from Ilampuvanam towards Kovilpatti, while Subburaj was returning to his village after visiting Kovilpatti when the collision happened.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the two motorcycles collided head-on near the petrol station, resulting in both riders sustaining fatal head injuries. The intensity of the crash led to their deaths at the scene. Police officers from Nalattinpudur station promptly arrived at the site to conduct rescue and investigation efforts. The deceased were transported to Government Hospital in Kovilpatti for post-mortem examinations.
