In a significant move to enhance communication infrastructure in India's border regions, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Thursday inaugurated a 20-kW FM transmitter in Ramgarh, Rajasthan. The ceremony, held virtually from Jaipur, was attended by key figures including Jaipur MP Manju Sharma and Prasar Bharati Chairman Prasoon Joshi.

Minister Vaishnaw underscored the government's focus on strategic infrastructure, asserting a renewed commitment to border region connectivity. Highlighting past neglect, he noted that the initiative marks a shift towards comprehensive coverage of the entire border belt, a region historically overlooked by previous governments.

Turning to railway developments, Vaishnaw criticized the former UPA government for its lack of focus on border connectivity. He contrasted this with the substantial increase in funding for railways under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Updates on the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme revealed progress, with work advancing on 200 out of 450 planned stations, showcasing the government's commitment to both major and smaller stations across the country.
