The Nampally Court returned a petition against Congress leader Meenakshi Natarajan, stating lack of jurisdiction regarding the plea involving public representatives. This led to Natarajan's Rajya Sabha nomination from Madhya Pradesh being rejected. The allegations involve inaction on a sexual assault complaint. The Nampally Court has dismissed a petition filed against Congress leader Meenakshi Natarajan and others, citing a lack of jurisdiction over the matter, according to Congress advocate Ravi Shankar Jandyala. The petition was returned without prejudice, marking a significant turn in the legal discussions regarding Natarajan's recent political setbacks.

The case was initiated by a party worker who accused Kumbham Shiva Kumar Reddy of sexual assault and claimed Congress leadership, including Natarajan, failed to address the allegations. Jandyala argued that the respondents, being current or former representatives, exempted the court from jurisdiction, highlighting procedural oversights in the issuance of summons.

Amid these legal battles, the complainant Srilatha accused Congress of influencing case proceedings and expressed dissatisfaction with actions taken against Shivakumar Reddy. The Supreme Court has since dismissed Meenakshi Natarajan's plea concerning her Rajya Sabha candidacy. In response, Congress leaders organized a Satyagraha in New Delhi, contesting the Election Commission's handling of the issue.
