Visakhapatnam MP Sribharat Mathukumilli participated in a yoga practice session at the East Point Golf Club in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday. This event was held ahead of the International Day of Yoga, which is celebrated annually on June 21. Mathukumilli emphasized the joy of preparing for the event in the picturesque setting of the golf course, commending the club for its dual purpose as both a sports and tourism destination.

He praised the golf club for being a unique 18-hole course that's expanding to include night golf and encouraged by the participation of children in sports like golf. 'This facility,' he mentioned, 'not only attracts working and retired professionals but also encourages young players to potentially become professional athletes.'

In Haryana, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan attended a Yoga Protocol Training Programme at the Haryana Vidhan Sabha. The preparations for International Yoga Day reflect the widespread global embrace of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative proposed at the UN in 2014. The 12th edition of the International Yoga Day is scheduled for June 21, with extensive programs planned both in India and internationally.
