Massive fire broke in a building during early hours today in the Perth city of Scotland. Fourteen people were rescued from the burning building before being taken to hospital by ambulance, according to Daily Star.

Emergency services and firefighters had been called to the scene at 2.40 am (local time) as they battled the flames for three hours.

The fire was put out by around 5.30 am, there are no reports yet on the condition of people hospitalized. Incident manager Graham Smart said: "Operations control mobilised four fire appliances to the scene and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames. Crews assisted 14 people from the building," according to Daily Star.

He added: "Crews left the scene at 5.35am after ensuring the area was made safe."

The fire took place at a tenement building, which in Scotland refers to old, high-density flats divided horizontally.
