Rameshwar Teli assumes charge as Union MoS of Food Processing Industries

Shri Rameshwar Teli has taken over as the Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries today. The Minister of State was welcomed by Secretary Smt Pushpa Subramanyam and other senior officials of the Ministry.
During a brief interaction with Media in his Office, Shri Teli thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this opportunity. He added, "at the same time, I am humbled by the scope of responsibility put on my shoulders".
The Minister of State was briefed on key initiatives and policy issues by senior officers of the Ministry. The Minister was apprised of the forthcoming challenges facing the Indian food processing sector among others.
The Minister said "the Ministry is dynamic in nature, every day bringing with itself fresh challenges. I look forward to working with Secretary Smt Pushpa Subrahmanyam and her team to meet these challenges".
