The United States has announced that it will impose sanctions on militia leaders in Iraq who have links with Iran, according to media reports. The Vice President of the United States made the announcement at a high-level meeting on religious freedom. While Pence did not say about anything about who those leaders are, the US Treasury earlier today announced the sanctions against four individuals in Iraq 'implicated in serious human rights abuse or corruption'.
