Three including district governor killed in Herat in roadside bomb blast

Three people including the district governor of Zenda Jan district in the western province of Herat in Afghanistan have been killed in a roadside bomb blast on Saturday, according to local media reports.

The incident happened in Zenda Jan district when a vehicle carrying the district governor hit a roadside bomb. It has been reported that two other individuals have also been killed in the blast. The provincial governor's spokesman Jailani Farhad has reportedly confirmed the incident but did not give details about the casualties.

According to reports, the telecom services are not working in Zenda Jan district, therefore, more information about the incident could not be fetched.

Zenda Jan district is located in the central parts of Herat and shares borders Gulran, Injil and Guzara districts.
