Taliban's shadow governor and hundred other members killed in Farah province

The Taliban's shadow governor and more than 100 other members of the outfit have been killed in ground and air operations in western Farah province, according to the statements of Ministry of Interior Affairs and Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan. The Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan said in a statement that the Afghan Air Forces conducted an airstrike in Khak-e-Safid district of the province at around 8:10 pm on Friday night. The airstrike targeted Mullah Abdul Bari, shadow Governor of Taliban for Farah province and as a result, Abdul Bari along with two others were killed in the strikes.

The other two senior members killed in the attack were Mullah Saeed in charge of western provinces integration and cooperation and Mullah Sadeq logistics in charge of Farah.

Meanwhile,100 Taliban terrorists were killed and 50 others were wounded during Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) joint clearance overnight operation backed by Afghan Air Force (AAF) in Ginahkan and Raj villages, Farah City of Farah province, according to the Ministry of Interior Affairs.

The Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement that 14 vehicles used by the militants were destroyed and 20 various types of weapons were seized by ANDSF.
