St Petersburg shootings: Two people shot dead, motives unknown

Two persons have been shot dead in St. Petersburg on Tuesday early morning, according to local media reports. The deaths occurred as a result of two separate incidents of shooting in the city. The St. Petersburg Police Department has been reported to be investigating the killings.

Police said the first shooting happened at 3:19 a.m. local time at 1036 13th Avenue South in St. Petersburg. During this shooting, a woman called 911 to report that someone had shot her significant other, 34-year-old Lorenzo Brunson, in the house.

The second shooting happened shortly after at 1234 10th Avenue. Police said they received several calls about shots being fired. When they arrived they found a man shot in the street. The motives of these shootings are not known yet.
