Earthquake hits Leh-Ladakh region in Jammu and Kashmir

An earthquake has hit Leh-Ladakh region in Jammu and Kashmir at 4:20 pm on Tuesday, the Indian Meteorological Department announced on its Twitter account. The earthquake measured 4.2 on the Richter scale but no damage has been reported yet. The epicenter of the quake was located 52 km north of Leh at a depth of 15 km.
