SCCLCIL Recruitment scam: South Central Coalfields declared fake; thousands conned

A fraudulent company under the name of South Central Coalfields Limited (SCCLCIL) had recently announced the recruitment for 88,585 vacancies and had claimed to be a company under Ministry of Coal, Government of India. The company has been declared "fake" by Coal India Limited which has also cautioned people against falling prey to such fraudulent employment notices.

SCCLCIL had floated vacancies for posts like Junior Engineer, MTS Surveyor, Accounts Clerk, Accountant, Junior Clerk, Computer Operator, Stenographer, Secretarial Assistant, etc. The application window was supposed to be open until 24th November 2019.

The website of South Central Coalfields has been taken down although there is no information about the preparators yet. Thousands of people are expected to have fallen prey to the SCCLCIL recruitment scam which offered good incentives and the high number of vacancies also attracted many people seeking employment. Some major media platforms had also reported about the fraudulent vacancies.
