Syria safe zone: Turkey, US begins operations at full capacity, first helicopter launched

The Defense Minister of Turkey Hulusi Akar has announced on Saturday that Turkish Joint Operation Center with the US for Syria safe zone has begun work at full capacity, according to Anadolu Agency English. The first joint helicopter flight was also started today, according to the state-owned agency.

Turkey and the United States agreed earlier this month to set up the joint operations center for the safe zone along Syria's northeast border.
