41 Taliban terrorists including senior commander killed in Afghanistan

A total of 41 Taliban terrorists including a senior commander have been killed in Afghanistan in separate incidents.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Afghanistan, 37 Taliban terrorists were killed and one was arrested following a clash with Afghan National Police (ANP) on Paktiya-Paktika highway. Musa, a senior commander of Taliban terrorists was among those killed.

ANP seized one PK machine gun, five AK-47 rifles, five motorcycles and some amount of ammunition and military equipment.

The statement further added that four Taliban terrorists were killed during joint clearance operation carried out by the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) in Nehr Saraj District of Helmand. Several villages of Nehr Saraj have been cleared off Taliban terrorists.

ANDSF also seized two rocket launchers, two AK-47 rifles, five radio handsets, and two vehicles.
