Russian opposition leader Lyubov Sobol has been attacked with some green substance by unknown assailants. She was attacked outside her home in Moscow when she was getting into a cab. The whole incident was filmed by the accomplice of the assailant.

It is worth noticing that yesterday she called for renewed protest for free elections.

Sobol gave a statement in response to the incident which said, "They attacked my signature collectors with feces during the campaign in the Moscow City Duma, but we still collected the signatures."

"Now they attack me on the eve of the peaceful procession on August 31. I’m not afraid and still leave at 14:00 to Chistye Prudy," the statement further added.

She accused the Russian businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin of organizing this incident. She called him “Putin’s cook”. Prigozhin was called "Putin’s chef" in an Associated Press article because of Prigozhin's restaurants and catering businesses that hosted dinners which Vladimir Putin attended with foreign dignitaries.

Lyubov Sobol said, "His (Prigozhin's) handwriting, his “fecal” style, his man shot me on camera during the attack."

She accused the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin of covering and protecting the chaos in Moscow.

"And the mayor of Moscow personally covers and protects this chaos in Moscow."
