A tragic case of suspected food poisoning has resulted in the deaths of a man and his one-year-old daughter, while three other family members have been hospitalized, according to officials on Saturday.

The health department dispatched a team to the village following the incident on Friday. Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Rashmi Verma reported that Sushil Kumar Shukla, 30, and his family's condition worsened on Friday. 'After experiencing severe vomiting and diarrhea, Sushil succumbed during the night, and his daughter Shiva Devi passed away on Saturday morning,' stated the CMO.

Kumar's wife, Reema Shukla, and their two other minor daughters, displaying similar symptoms, were admitted to the hospital. 'The mother and daughters are currently under the observation of a medical team,' Verma added, noting that the preliminary symptoms suggest food poisoning as the cause.
