Largest Medical Evacuation of Gaza Patients to Abu Dhabi for Specialized Care

Eighty-five severely injured and sick Palestinians, including 35 children, have been evacuated from Gaza to Abu Dhabi for specialized medical care. This evacuation, supported by the UAE, WHO, and partners, is the largest since October 2023. Patients are suffering from serious conditions such as cancer, neurological, and cardiac diseases.

Eighty-five severely injured Palestinians, including 35 children, were evacuated from Gaza to Abu Dhabi for specialized medical treatment, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) on Tuesday.

'This extremely complex joint evacuation was supported by the UAE, WHO, and partners. It is the largest medical evacuation since October 2023,' said Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on X.

The patients, suffering from severe conditions like cancer, neurological, and cardiac diseases, were accompanied by 63 family members and caregivers, added Tedros.
