Tragic Discovery: Trainee Doctor Found Dead in Kolkata Hospital

The semi-nude body of a female post-graduate trainee doctor was discovered in a seminar hall of a Kolkata government hospital. The deceased, a second-year chest medicine student, showed injury marks. Investigations are ongoing with input from colleagues and staff who were on duty during the night.

The semi-nude body of an on-duty female post-graduate trainee (PGT) doctor was found inside the seminar hall of a government-run hospital in Kolkata on Friday, authorities confirmed.

The deceased, a second-year student specializing in chest medicine at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, was last seen on duty Thursday night. Hospital sources disclosed that the body bore visible injury marks.

'Her body was found in the seminar hall at the Emergency building by fellow students who then notified us. We are currently interviewing doctors, nurses, and other staff who were on duty last night,' a senior police officer stated. City Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal and other officials visited the hospital to coordinate the investigation.
