Thane Zilla Parishad's Mobile Medical Units Now Fully Operational
All 10 mobile medical units under Thane Zilla Parishad are now operational following the appointment of 38 health personnel. The units will now serve underserved rural regions including Murbad, Shahapur, Bhiwandi, Ambernath, and Kalyan talukas.

All ten mobile medical units under the Thane Zilla Parishad have become operational following the appointment of 38 health personnel, an official reported on Friday.
Appointment letters were issued to 10 medical officers, eight general nursing midwives, 10 lab technicians, and 10 pharmacists by ZP chief executive officer Rohan Ghughe and District Health Officer Dr. Gangadhar Parge.
Previously, only one mobile medical unit was active in Murbad and Shahpur talukas. The new appointments will enable the remaining nine units to be deployed, significantly benefiting underserved rural areas. Three units each will serve Murbad and Shahapur, two will serve Bhiwandi, and one each will be allocated to Ambernath and Kalyan talukas, the official said.
