Crane Accident Injures Three Workers at Medical Facility Expansion

Three workers were critically injured when a crane collapsed at a medical facility expansion project. The injured, identified as Mubarak Ansari, Dinabandhu Behera, and Bansidhar Mallick, were hospitalized at SCB Medical College and Hospital. The construction has been halted, and an investigation is underway.

Three workers engaged in an expansion project at a medical facility in Cuttack suffered critical injuries when a crane collapsed on them, police reported.

The crane was being used to lift construction materials to the top of the building under construction. The injured laborers, identified as Mubarak Ansari from Bihar, and Dinabandhu Behera and Bansidhar Mallick from Odisha, have been admitted to the casualty ward of SCB Medical College and Hospital.

In the wake of the mishap, construction work at the SCB Medical College and Hospital expansion site has been halted. Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) mayor, Subhas Singh, who visited the workers in the hospital, stated that action will be taken against those responsible for the accident.
