Maharashtra Minister Chhagan Bhujbal has announced that Nashik is set to emerge as a major medical hub, thanks to the arrival of several big hospitals. He made these remarks during the Stroke – Master Class 2024 workshop, organized by the Indian Stroke Association (ISA) in collaboration with the Association of Physicians of India (API), Nashik chapter.

Bhujbal pointed out that the current generation is increasingly falling prey to lifestyle diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure at a young age. He stressed that timely treatment could save many lives.

Dr. Nirmal Surya, president of ISA, identified blood pressure, sugar, and cholesterol as major contributors to strokes, noting that paralysis is the third leading cause of death. Dr. Arvind Sharma, secretary of ISA, discussed the 'Mission Brain Attack' campaign, which aims to create awareness and provide comprehensive care for stroke patients. The event saw participation from at least 200 local physicians.
