Nursing College Principal Suspended for Misconduct

The principal of a nursing college in Bihar's West Champaran district, Manish Kumar Jaiswal, was suspended following complaints of indecent behavior towards female students and consuming liquor on the premises. The state health department took action after students reported the incidents to the district magistrate.

In a move reflecting zero tolerance towards misconduct, the principal of GNM (Nursing) College in Bihar’s West Champaran district has been suspended. Manish Kumar Jaiswal faces accusations of indecent behavior with female students and consuming alcohol in blatant violation of the state's prohibition law.

The state health department issued the suspension order against Jaiswal on Thursday evening, following a formal complaint lodged by the college's students with Dinesh Kumar Rai, the District Magistrate.

Jaiswal has been reassigned to the health department’s office in Bhagalpur during the suspension period. Bihar maintains a strict ban on the sale and consumption of alcohol.
