The Odisha government has mandated the creation of breastfeeding cabins in offices and public areas, an official reported.
Reena Mohapatra, the additional secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, issued directives to various departmental heads and district collectors to enhance breastfeeding support and governance.
District collectors will supervise the setup of these cabins in public and private institutions. This initiative is part of broader women's welfare policies by the BJP government, which included menstrual leave and financial aid schemes.
