The minister dispelled exaggerated claims on social media about the number of poultry deaths, clarifying the actual figures.

Officials have mobilized resources to monitor and contain the virus through 721 Rapid Response Teams, focusing on affected regions in the Godavari districts. The containment strategy includes culling affected birds and closing chicken shops within a 10 km radius of confirmed cases.

Minister Athcannaidu emphasized the importance of maintaining biosecurity measures on poultry farms to prevent future outbreaks, highlighting the safety of consuming boiled eggs and cooked chicken, as these exceed the virus's heat tolerance.
