Andhra Pradesh's Minister for Animal Husbandry, K Atchannaidu, has urged residents not to panic over the recent Avian Influenza outbreak, asserting that control measures are actively being implemented.

The outbreak, first identified in the Godavari region, has been contained through the intervention of Rapid Response Teams, which have reported 5.4 lakh bird fatalities.

The government has declared red and alert zones, restricting the movement of poultry products and assuring the public that consumption of well-cooked eggs and chicken remains safe.
