Delhi has launched an ambitious 100-day tuberculosis awareness and screening campaign, aimed at mobilizing schools, colleges, and shelter homes to bolster TB prevention and early detection initiatives. Starting in December 2024, the campaign engages educational establishments, including notable Kendriya Vidyalayas and institutions like Ramjas International, in awareness sessions and impactful rallies.

Prominent universities like IIT Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia, and JNU have joined the movement with students taking on roles as Ni-kshay Mitras, supporting TB patients by providing essential food baskets. The campaign also targets intensified TB screening efforts within prisons, shelter homes, and facilities for the mentally challenged.

Health camps are hosted at venues like Asha Kiran, a home for mentally challenged individuals, ensuring comprehensive screenings including X-rays and NAAT testing. Night shelters, crucial points for vulnerable populations, receive focused attention, with Lok Nayak Chest Clinic spearheading sensitization programs, reaching over 257 individuals to ensure even the most marginalized receive essential care.
