A surprising incident unfolded at the Maharani Laxmibai Medical College in Jhansi as officials reported a snake sighting inside the operation theatre on Wednesday.
The OT in-charge, Kanak Srivastava, spotted the reptilian intruder and notified the forest department, who quickly intervened to rescue and release it back into the wild. This incident follows earlier emergencies in the theatre, including a tragic fire last November that claimed 18 young lives, and another recent fire scare in August.
Dr. Sachin Mahour, Chief Medical Superintendent, emphasized that the monsoon season escalates the risk of such intrusions, leading to stepped-up security measures and staff vigilance to avert future occurrences.
