Fortis Healthcare is set to invest over Rs 900 crore in Mohali, as announced by Punjab Industry Minister Sanjeev Arora. The expansion aims to increase the hospital's capacity by more than 400 beds, making it a premier centre of excellence.
Spanning across 13.4 acres, this project is anticipated to create over 2,500 direct jobs and more than 2,200 indirect positions. This move underscores Punjab's growing prominence as a hub for advanced healthcare and medical tourism.
The State government, with Arora's endorsement, highlights the significance of public-private partnerships in enhancing healthcare infrastructure. Fortis's consistent investments, amounting to over Rs 1,500 crore in Punjab, have solidified its status as a leader in cardiac sciences, oncology, organ transplants, and critical care.
